The Bernardo Show

There is something in me nowadays that I’m sure my friends will be surprised of.. I am watching an ABS-CBN show, My Binondo Girl.. My friends very well know na I’m a supporter of GMA-7, even before I enter college.. I even reached a point wherein I join debates/discussions about GMA versus ABS, defending the side of the Kapusos.. So what happened?

A few weeks ago, I learned that my ultimate idol, Ms. Regine Velasquez, will be singing the theme song of an upcoming series in ABS-CBN. And the series happened to be My Binondo Girl, with Kim Chiu as the lead star. Tracing back my TV history, the only season of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) na I was able to watch was the season of PBB Teens where Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson were discovered. Eh ano ngayon? Marami naman nang naging series si Kim Chiu ah. Pinanood ko ba?
So why did I chose to watch my Binondo Girl? First, it’s because of Regine. I got curious why she agreed to sing the theme song of the said series. Aside from that, I really loved the song, which is an original composition by the Songwriter Mr. Ogie Alcasid. The second reason is Kim Chiu, uhm, do I miss her? She actually impressed me with her acting after I saw the teasers.

Third reason is the story itself. Others say na there’s nothing new with the show. The story has been used na daw for so many teleseryes before. But for me, My Binondo Girl is different. It’s a breather for all the heavy dramas shown on primetime TV. And I can relate to the story. Actually, while I was watching the August 30 episode of the show, I got carried away and I cried along with Yuan/Jade. She cried because her father already recognized her as the son. In my 23 years of existence I always dreamt of the day na my father will recognize me as his son. :’-(

And the fourth reason why I watched this show is Xian Lim. This actor caught my attention after watching his past performances (Maynila episodes). He even got me more when I watched his videos on his YouTube Channel. After that, I found his Facebook Fan Page and I also became an instant member of his fans club. Waah! Anyare? Haha. ‘He’ even made me signup for a Tumblr account because of the official Tumblr account of the Xianatics. And he got me more active on Twitter because I now follow his Twitter account as well as that of the Xianatics.

Haha, anyare ba saken? Well, that’s life siguro talaga. Change is constant and permanent. At least, this is something that helps me cope up with the hardships I am going through these past few days.

Bakit ka nag-VolCorps?

Matamis nga ba?

Pagkagising ako, nabasa ako ang isang mensahe mula sa isang kaibigan.. Nagpapakilala siya na siya yun, kaya nagulat ako.. Nagtanong ako kung sino talaga siya, at tinawagan ako..

Sa tawag, hindi na namin binaba kahit kung anu-ano nang ginagawa ko.. Kaya naman daw niya ako tawagan kahit 10 years pa.. Eh di okay.. At na-shock na lang talaga ako sa kaniya.. Akala ko, ako na pinakamalala sa isang bagay (sikret! ) pero may mas malala pa pala sa akin..

At nung nabasa ko na ang email naman niya sa akin, nasa Spam folder.. At eto ang sagot niya nung sinabi ko na napunta sa Spam yung email niya: “:)) sorry na my email address sounds like spam mail ) pero at least masarap na breakfast )”

Masayang almusal, kahit gutom na ako sa totoong pagkain, nabusog naman ang aking isipan para dito..

UPD Halalan is postponed. Hmm

I need to go back to school, waah!

Naisipan ko naman na mag-update ng post ko dito, lalo na ngayon at sobrang napapa-isip ako sa mga bagay-bagay.

UNA, ang hirap kapag puso na talaga yung involved. Hay, bakit ganoon? Sobrang nakakapraning.

IKALAWA, ang hirap din magtrabaho para kumita ng pera. Pero wala naman akong choice, kailangan ko din talaga eh.

IKATLO, ang hirap mag-aral. Kailangan may disiplina ka. Para naman kasi ito sa hinaharap ko kaya kailangan siyang gawin. Bilang konti na rin lang, makapagtatapos na ako.

IKAAPAT, ang hirap mag-assume at mag-expect. Pero ang hirap din iwasan na hindi magawa yun.

At IKALIMA, ang hirap maging AKO. Pero ito talaga, wala na akong magagawa. Kahit mahirap, kailangan ko matutong mahalin itong sarili ko, kahit sobrang kinamumuhian ko pa siya.

Pahabol lang: Siguro, tama yung iba, hindi maganda na ipinaaalam mo sa mundo yung mga saloobin mo. Pero paano kung wala ka naman mapagsabihan, saan ka tatakbo eh hindi mo naman kaya dalhin lahat mag-isa. Wala lang.

Yes naman! Sana lang, pati “siya”, ganun.. LOL

Mahigit isang buwan na pala akong walang post. Hala!

Pero ngayon ko na naman napagdesisyonan na halong Ingles at Filipino na lang itong blog ko. Para kapag nasa mood akong mag-ingles, go dun. Pero kapag nasa Filipino ang mood, go pa rin.

Nga pala, may problema ako ngayon. Haha. Dalawang tanong:

1. Maniniwala pa ba ako sa salitang PANGAKO (trust)?
2. Magtitiwala pa ba ako sa mga tao?

Sana may sumagot na computer, pero yung matino, hahaha.

Angel Locsin is FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the World for 2010![1}

Nearly four million votes were cast during the voting period—from April 1 to June 15—in this year's FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll. After weeks of partial results that saw three of the country's biggest and hottest stars shuffling in and out of the top spot, Angel Locsin is now officially back to No. 1 after five years.

It was back in 2005 when Angel last held the top spot. Between then and now, the country saw her lord over national primetime viewing via several blockbuster series such as Mulawin, Darna, Majika, and Asian Treasures. In 2007, she had a much-publicized transfer from her former home network GMA-7 to rival ABS-CBN. Since then, Angel went on to star in two more primetime series, Lobo with Piolo Pascual and Only You with Sam Milby and Diether Ocampo. She is currently working on another series also for ABS-CBN, Imortal, with reigning box-office king John Lloyd Cruz and a movie under Star Cinema with Aga Muhlach.

Last May saw her return to the cover of FHM and now that she is once again FHM Philippines' Sexiest Woman, it looks like Angel's star is set to shine even brighter. She was catapulted to the top spot with a total of 284,156. Last year's defending queen Cristine Reyes comes in at second place with 227,390 votes while GMA-7 siren Marian Rivera places third with 218,742 votes.

Victoria's Secret model Marissa Miller is adjudged the FHM global winner by the FHM International Network.
